KW Competition Suspension

KW Competition coilovers are the number one choice for many top international race teams. With a spectrum ranging from homologated spec equipment for race cars in the FIA GT3 to the equipment used in various manufactures customer racing programs (BMW M235i Racing, ...) or to individually commisioned setups for hill climbs, drifting, endurance racing, rally, GT or touring car series and much more, with KW Competition suspension, championships and races are won.

The excellent combination of performance, affordability, durability and the outstanding history of successful championships claimed by KW motorsports technology confirms that KW Competition kits are the leading suspension when it comes to performance and quality. Countless class victories and 7 overall victories in the toughest endurance race in the world, the ADAC Zurich 24h Nürburgring race on the Nordschleife, impressively demonstrate the performance.

KW Competition 2-Way Suspension

KW Competition 2-Way suspension kits feature independent rebound and compression damping. They can be constructed out of galvanized steel housings when structural strength is a concern or lightweight aluminum when weights savings is advantageous. The KW Competitions 2-Way kits are available in a wide range of configurations to suit many vehicle types and racing disciplines.

  • TVC-A Compression adjustable damper technology
  • TVR-A Rebound adjustable damper technology
  • Lightweight Aluminum housings for weight savings or Steel for maximum durability
  • High quality components for a long-term durability
  • Available as Inverted Monotube with 40mm plain bearing
  • Optional piggyback or remote reservoir for increased stroke
  • Optional spherical bearing aluminum top mounts

The rebound adjustments are made at the end of the piston rod and provide precise tactile clicks of adjustment for consistent repeatable results. The compression adjustment is located at the bottom of the damper or on the external or remote reservoir and provides tactile precise clicks of adjustment. In addition, a wide range of suspension systems can be custom ordered to accommodated nearly every type of race car suspension.

KW Competition 3-Way Suspension

The KW Competition 3-way racing coilovers provide 3 independent features of adjustment, low-speed rebound and high and low-speed compression adjustment. The unique valve technology of the 3-way damper system differs from the conventional mono-tube damper valve technology. This design is also maintenance-friendly.

Versatile in its design, the damper performance remains consistent even through a high temperature environment and has proven it's reliability time and time again. The Competition 3-way system design is based on mono-tube damper with an adjustable external reservoir. The forces generated are largely controlled by the pre-configured tuning on the piston. Fine tuning is handled with 3 separate external controls. The rebound adjustments are made through an adjustable conically shaped needle on the rebound valve assembly. The compression can be adjusted in two independent ranges, the low-speed and the high-speed. The 3-way competition kits are constructed of high-strength aluminum. MacPherson front struts are constructed as inverted dampers with 40mm and 45mm/55mm (for rally use) guide tube diameters. Steel construction is also available as an option for endurance racing applications.
